Working with Erica Anyadike on "Sue Na Johnny" at Maisha Magic East was a great experience. From the start, she recognized the potential of our comedic approach for East African audiences and gave us a chance. Her belief in the project paid off we won 4 awards at the Kalasha Film awards and was rated most watched series by IMDB in 2017/2018 and got recommissioned for a total of 13 seasons And it wasn’t just us that she gave an opportunity, she also briefed a movie slate that led to many other Kenyan creatives producing movies and other scripted and unscripted programming. She always puts the ideas first, she takes the time to meet with and listen to creatives and she’s genuinely committed to industry growth.

During our time at SABC, Erica had a positive impact on programming. She briefed several projects which led to a slate of culturally significant and socially relevant programming. Her approach to commissioning – in terms of telling new stories and working with new producers - delivered ratings and demonstrated her ability to take creative risks that paid off. She is very easy to recommend highly!

It was a pleasure to work with Erica because she understands both the creative and business sides of broadcasting. She had a knack for finding and developing shows that not only pulled in viewers but were great for advertisers too. She didn’t compromise the content but always understood what we needed from the sales side and was easy to collaborate with. In Television Entertainment, the neccesity to build stakeholder relationships from both an editorial and commercial perspective is critical. Erica has always been incredibly adept at both. This I believe comes her very flexible and business minded approach to the entertainment sector.
